Home Antrim Enterprise Celebrates 29 Years of Leadership from CEO Jennifer McWilliams
After nearly three decades at the helm, Jennifer’s tenure leaves a lasting legacy of innovation, growth and deep-rooted community impact.
Since taking on the role, Jennifer has shaped Antrim Enterprise into a trusted and forward-thinking hub for entrepreneurs and growing businesses. Her leadership has been defined by a strong values base, long-term strategic thinking and a commitment to evolving enterprise support to meet changing needs.
In 2025, that values-driven approach was reflected in Antrim Enterprise becoming an accredited Living Wage Employer, reinforcing its commitment to building a responsible and supportive business community.
Under Jennifer’s leadership, Antrim Enterprise also successfully managed Space Antrim on behalf of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, achieving 100% occupancy within 18 months. The centre has quickly developed into a dynamic hub where entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs connect, collaborate and thrive.
Jennifer has also been instrumental in pioneering wellbeing-led enterprise initiatives, including NETWalking and Open Coffee, which have since evolved into Entrepreneur Wellness Collective. Launched in early 2026, the Collective will provide entrepreneurs with priority access to discounted events, complimentary sessions, members-only programmes, a Founder Reset Day, ongoing resources and increased market visibility, reflecting a holistic approach to sustainable business success.
Alongside this, The Hatchery NI continues to grow and modernise. Operating for over a decade, it now supports more than 100 virtual clients internationally while maintaining a vibrant co-working community, demonstrating the organisation’s adaptability and reach.
July 2026 will mark the appointment of a new Chief Executive, signalling the next phase for Antrim Enterprise while building on a strong foundation established over nearly three decades.
Jennifer McWilliams, CEO, Antrim Enterprise, said: “It has been a privilege to lead Antrim Enterprise for 29 years and to work alongside an incredible team, board and business community. Together, we have built an organisation rooted in strong values, quality, innovation and a genuine commitment to supporting entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.
“I am particularly proud of how we have continued to evolve, from developing enterprise space like Space Antrim to pioneering wellbeing-focused initiatives such as the Entrepreneur Wellness Collective. These programmes reflect our belief that sustainable businesses are built by supported and confident individuals.
“As I prepare to hand over the leadership in July 2026, I do so with confidence in the strength of the organisation and excitement for what comes next. Antrim Enterprise is well positioned for its next chapter, and I look forward to seeing it continue to thrive and serve the local business community for many years to come.”
