The course was part of the Glens Coastal Hub programme which covered the area along the coast from Ballygally to Ballycastle. Delivered by Lynda Willis from Customer Sense Training, the course was designed to give staff the skills and confidence to deliver a warm and friendly welcome to visitors and to be Ambassadors for their local area. Content covered included Principles of Customer Service and on a practical note a familiarisation trip along the glens taking in key sites and attractions.

Given that there will be an additional 9,500 jobs by 2025 in the hospitality industry in Northern Ireland it is important that local businesses are ready to provide the best unique customer experience possible. Tourism continues to grow attracting more visitors along the Causeway Coastal Route from year to year so it is important in an increasingly competitive market for local traders to set themselves apart through attention to detail and world class customer service skills. The course was suitable for new start-ups and established businesses and staff at all levels. “
