Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council Local Enterprise

How Exploring Enterprise helped profoundly deaf Ruth grow her confidence and self esteem to start her own business

Ruth always dreamed of setting up her own children’s nursery and had been volunteering for Ballyclare Family Focus at the time and seen a real need for this so that was the start of her journey. Her heart was telling her what she needed to do but her head was telling her that she had no business skills and did not know anything about starting a business. This is where Exploring Enterprise intervened

After a career break Exploring Enterprise was the right programme at the right time to get back into a job

When Iris reached a stage in her life where she had decided to leave her employment as at the time she had a family friend who was sick and in hospital. After 2 years had passed she felt that her confidence was dropping, she had lost her sense of fulfilment and although she wanted to return to work, she did not think she had the necessary qualifications to get back into the job that she had previously been in.

TO TWEET OR NOT TO TWEET, THAT IS THE QUESTION

Having a “good” Twitter presence is more of an art than it is a science and unfortunately there is no magic formula for success, nor hard and fast rules for how to use it but help is out there to make your business a success on Twitter.
