Home Armagh Business Centre Celebrates 40 Years of Enterprise Support
As it reflects on four decades of impact, the centre is continuing its commitment to providing high-quality workspace, guidance, and opportunities that enable businesses to start, grow, and succeed within a supportive environment.
Armagh Business Centre has long been a cornerstone of enterprise support in the local area, playing a vital role in helping businesses develop and scale. This impact is clearly reflected in the success stories of its tenants.
One standout example is David Elliott of Instant Print, who began his journey with the centre 20 years ago in a 500 sq. ft. unit with just one employee. In 2025, David expanded into a 3,000 sq. ft. workspace and now employs approximately 12 staff, a powerful illustration of sustained business growth supported by the Centre.
Throughout 2025, the team also delivered a range of successful events as part of Go Succeed and Enterprise Week, creating valuable opportunities for local entrepreneurs to access support, build connections and develop their businesses.
A particularly notable moment for the organisation was the recognition of centre manager Eileen Stewart, who was awarded a BEM in the King’s New Year Honours for her services to entrepreneurship and economic development in the local community. Having dedicated 27 years to Armagh Business Centre, this honour reflects both her personal commitment and the wider impact of the organisation.
The centre will mark its 40th anniversary with a series of activities celebrating its legacy and the many businesses it has supported over the years, while continuing to provide the essential support and infrastructure needed for future growth.
Eileen Stewart, Manager, Armagh Business Centre, said: “Reaching 40 years is a very special milestone for Armagh Business Centre and a moment to reflect on the thousands of businesses and individuals we have supported over the decades. Our focus has always been on creating an environment where entrepreneurs feel supported, encouraged and equipped to grow.
“Stories like David Elliott’s highlight the long-term impact of that support; from starting out in a small unit to building a successful, growing business that creates local employment.
“Personally, being recognised with a BEM was a great honour, but it also reflects the collective effort of the team and the strength of the wider enterprise community we are proud to be part of. As we look ahead to the future, we remain committed to continuing this work and supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs across Armagh.”
